          The pistol in the thumbnails is browned, but we generally get these in a bright polished finish.

They have a 14" barrel, 22-1/2" overall. These are in the .62 cal range. Your pistol's actual bore measurement will be marked on the cover of your owner's manual.

Notice the Germanic style carving. Unlike the curvy lines of English carving, the German gunsmiths were all about angles.

          Lock is banana shaped, Germanic in origin, with flat topped frizzen. There is no external bridle.
In this photo, you can also see the long, sectioned finial on the triggerguard. Also a very German design.

          Note distinctive Germanic sideplate. This pistol is nearly identical to one shown in Neumann's "The History of Weapons of the American Revolution" (p.44 on page 194-195). See also 30.PP on pg. 261 in his Battle Weapons of the American Revolution. lock
