Here is our new Model 1733 French Pistol. It is steel mounted with hand forged furniture. Neumann pictures a similar pistol on on pg. 252 of Battle Weapons of the American Revolution (the one shown in the book is brass mounted, we sometimes stock them in brass, please specify when ordering). This pistol is 19 3/4" overall with a 12 3/4" barrel. |

Here is the left side. It has a forged steel belt hook. The 12 3/4" smoothbore barrels are in the .625 to .645 cal range. The lock is marked J.L. Carrier. He was a gunsmith at St. Ettienne arsenal in the early 18th century. |
