Here is our new Model 1733 French Pistol. It is steel mounted with hand forged furniture. Neumann pictures a similar pistol on on pg. 252 of Battle Weapons of the American Revolution (the one shown in the book is brass mounted). This pistol is 19 3/4" overall with a 12 3/4" barrel. |

Here is the left side. It has a forged steel belt hook. The 12 3/4" smoothbore barrels are in the .625 to .645 cal range. The lock is marked J.L. Carrier. He was a gunsmith at St. Ettienne arsenal in the early 18th century. |
