Labor Day Weekend

Be ye pirate or patriot, come and join us for an 18h century weekend
in the oldest continuously fortified site in the United States on one
of Boston Harbor's most historic islands.

Arrival & Parking

Arrival is any time after 6PM on Friday, September 3rd. No early arrivals! Parking for participants is in a fenced in lot during the day, and vehicles can be brought into the fort at night.

Campsite Living

There are flush toilets in the fort. Tents may be set up either on the parade ground or within the casemates of the granite fort.

If you opt for the latter, You will want a cot or some foam padding, the floors are VERY, VERY hard!

Fire Rules

The fireplaces in the fort are not functional
. NO FIRE PITS ALLOWED!!!!
Fires MUST be in some sort of container or brazier!

VISITOR INFO

The fort will be open to the public from 10AM to 3:30 on Saturday and Sunday.
The Castle Island Association will be offering tours from noon to 3:30 on those days as well.

GENERAL INFO

There is a snack bar, a swimming beach, and fishing pier.on the premises.
Castle Island is just minutes away from Boston restaurants, a supermarket,
and any other amenities you may require.
The parapet of the fort offers a great view of the Boston Harbor Islands State Park.
